After Detroit pulled out a gutsy win against Boston, it would seem like Portland should seek the same outcome. But from the opening tip, the Blazers stayed in a frigid fizzle, shooting poorly, defending poorly and surrendering 40 points in the first quarter to the hometown Celtics. Solid team input by Boston put this anything-but-competitive game in the books.
